One year ago today, I married my best friend. This has been the best year of my life - our wonderful wedding, amazing honeymoon in Italy and of course, the birth of not one, but two beautiful daughters.To celebrate, my sister and her friend Gabby came over to baby-sit while we went to the Melting Pot. We always go there for our anniversary and although it was nice to get away for a few hours, we missed our girls. The only bad thing was that the bottle of wine we split at dinner (okay I had a mojito and Ron had a Guinness too...oh yeah, and they brought us each a free glass of champagne) wiped us out - we were SO tired when we got home!!!
Ron got me a gorgeous necklace for our anniversary and I got him a new jacket, some polo shirts and a gift certificate to rent mountain buggies at Deep Creek Lake, when we go on vacation in less than 2 weeks!
We went to a family cookout on our actual anniversary, since it was Memorial Day. My parents surprised us with an anniversary cake -- everyone even sang "Happy Anniversary" since Colin, the twins' 2 yr old cousin, wanted to sing! We lit a match on the cake and let Abby blow it out - with some help! :)
