Life is good, after returning from a LOOOOOONG week away from my babies last week. I had a business trip to NY that couldn't be avoided, but Ron did great! Luckily we had the support of my parents to help watch the kids (although he took them at night of course) and our neighbor, Katie, walked Dunkin in the morning, but it was still a VERY big job. When I got home, Abby seemed a little indifferent (I tried not to be hurt), I think just because she is SO into crawling and exploring everything. But my Lil was very clingy to me and it was so sweet. We took a nap together the next morning after I got back and it was heaven. :)We had a long weekend this weekend. I took a comp day Friday (too much overtime in NY, when I'm supposed to be part-time) and had off today for the holiday. Ron did too. We had a great Valentine's Day -- the girls and I made some sweet treats (see below) and Ron and I went to a place called Franklin's in Hyattsville while my parents watched the girls. We realized the last time we'd been to a bar together was last June, so the beer, PhotoHunt and Ms. Pacman was just the therapy we needed!
On Sunday, I took the girls swimming at my mom's gym. They did great! The water was very warm, which helped. Afterwards, we went to my grandmother's for dinner. They ate all kinds of food - everything we ate - ham, mashed potatoes, green beans and squash! They got potatoes everywhere, but no one cared.
