We had such a great Christmas. We went to my parents' house for Christmas Eve, had Christmas at home the next morning, then went to Ron's parents and my grandparents. A busy holiday, but I always tell Ron that we are lucky to have so many family and friends who live so close.

For some reason, I decided that the twins' first fingerpainting project should be on Christmas Eve. I was trying to get the girls' handprints on the back of some ornaments we (ok, I) made. Genne took Abbers with the red paint and Laurie took Lily with the blue - and WHAT a mess! I seriously don't know where my head was. Luckily, my parents have a great sense of humor and didn't care about the mess. Lily seriously got blue paint all over herself, Laurie, me and the table! Genne managed to keep Abbers a little more clean. The craft table...
Me hotfooting it to the kitchen sink with Lily. This called for an impromptu bath in the kitchen sink! But, alas, we were both tinged a little greenish blue for Christmas day. :)

Lily opening up March of the Penguins. She LOVES the movie Happy Feet and already likes looking at the pictures of the penguins in the book.

The loot Santa left at our house. Incidentally, we are not putting our tree by the sliders again - not enough room to open presents!

The girls "opening" gifts.

Me and the girls (sans makeup - ugh!). Lily on the left, Abby right.

Mom-mom (Ron's mother) with the girls in their Christmas outfits. Abby on the left, Lily on the right.

Abby cheesing it up with Pop (Ron's dad).

Aunt Missa and Sebastian. Cousins Bryn and Addy were running around elsewhere. This Christmas we had 5 grandkids altogether! Last year, we only had 2!

Here's the end product from the ornament and hand painting project. Hardly seems worth the effort, huh? :)
