What have the girls been up to?

Unbelievably, the girls are 14 MONTHS OLD. That's full-on raging toddlerhood, especially given they are toddling (walking, RUNNING) all over the place! I like to do updates every once in awhile about each girl, so you can get a better sense of their individual personalities. And personalities they definitely have!!

Liliana

  • Lily is our sweet little girl. She's always been a little smaller and quieter than Abby. But, I tell you, I think she thinks about things more and is a lot more sensitive.
  • She *loves* to eat and sing, lots of times together. She's content to sit at her high chair for an hour at times, snacking on the food on her tray and singing or humming to herself. I'm not sure she actually eats more than Abby, she just east slowly. LOTS of times when I give them a cracker or cookie, Lily will walk around with it forever, which infuriates Abby. Abby gobbles hers down in a minute then always goes after Lily for hers. Lily is starting to defend herself, through the school of hard knox. :)
  • She also loves shoes. She can be seen walking around with shoes all the time and almost always in pairs.
  • She is also very into her videos and movies, of which Happy Feet is still one of her favorites.
  • Lily is a GREAT sleeper. She hardly ever gets up in the middle of the night or causes trouble going down. Abby can be shrieking away three feet from her and she'll be sound asleep.
  • Lily has been known to come out of her shell big time around other kids! When we go to parties or Gymboree, she'll buzz around all the kids very excited!
  • Lily likes to share with Mommy and Daddy. She'll walk over with a toy or food and hand it to us with a grin.
  • She loves playing with rubber balls! (get your mind out of the gutter)
  • Lily has the most infectious smile. It lights Mommy and Daddy up whenever we see it. :)
Abigail

  • Oh, Abbers. She's our tough little cookie. Physical, smart (not that Lily isn't, you know what I mean) and not afraid of anything.
  • She's hit most milestones before Lily - walking, talking, that sort of thing.
  • Abby loves her Dunkin and all dogs. Lily seems to prefer little dogs (altho she loves Dunkin too).
  • Abby loves to eat too, but is much quicker about the process!
  • She is not as good of a sleeper as Lily. Lots of times she screams until falling asleep and wakes up in the middle of the night. We're working on that. :)
  • Abbers loves hats, especially her Dora baseball cap! Daddy is happy to have a daughter that loves her baseball hats.
  • She loves her books lately! I find her sitting, quietly turning the pages of her books a lot recently. Her favorites are "That's Not My Puppy", "DOGS" (that ones been torn to shreds), the Sandra Boynton books and any books with pictures and words (flashcard type books).
  • Abby is picking up on sign language! She does the sign for "Baby" (crosses her arms and swings them side to side) and it's the.cutest.thing.ever. She also does Giraffe and Lily does too.
  • Abby is already screaming to get her way.
  • Sometimes, she surprises us! Our little Tomboy *loves* Mommy's pink boa from her batchelorette party - I'd have thought that girlie item would be a favorite of Lily's, but nope!
Ron and I can't wait to keep watching them grow up. Gosh, it goes so fast....
