So, I called her this morning to see what the he** was up and she said she felt too responsible for her friend's child and that she is her first obligation. So, I told her it wouldn't work out.
I promptly went and visited two other day care centers, then went back to one at a church down the street Ron and I had visited about a month ago. I really love the environment - it's pretty small, allowing only 6 infants and about 20 older kids - and met with the infant teacher and other enrolled children. I signed the paperwork and they will start some short days next week to get them used to it. I'll drop them off in the morning and my mom will get them around 11 or 12 each day. They'll start FT the week after.
As a result, I have to go back to work FT to afford day care. I'm at peace with it though, since it's really where I feel the girls will get the best care. I do think things usually work out for the best, even if it doesn't seem like it at first.
I'm not thinking about this ANYMORE this weekend. Just going to enjoy my last weekend off with my family! :))
