We bought a boat!!

Ron and I have been looking and looking for a boat for the last 2 years. I swear, we've gone to a dozen random places looking for the "perfect" boat. Well, we finally found it!

She's not the fanciest boat around, but she is perfect for our needs. It's a 19' Sea Pro bowrider that's good for both fishing and skiing / tubing. We actually looked at a boat just like this one earlier in the summer and really liked it but didn't buy it, because it was a little underpowered. This one is twice as fast (4.3L Mercruiser I/O with 200Hp), 1 year newer, better maintained and the guy wanted $550 less for it!

In true Barbagallo fashion, we had to make an event of it. Ron's dad came down with his Uncle Gary (he's visiting from NC) and their neighbor Ricky to check out the boat. We were really grateful to have their experience and help, but I know what they were really looking for....the guy had three beautifully restored antique cars. This old guy was a real character too. Born and raised in Glen Burnie, he was walking around with a stogie and his pomeranian named "Precious" with a million stories to tell. We spent more time "bullcrapping" (as the Barbagallos call it) and looking at the cars than the boat! But, alas, we finally made the purchase.

Ron and I both grew up on boats on the Chesapeake and Assawoman Bay and we really wanted to give our girls that same experience. Now, we can't wait until next summer!

Interior shot....roomy!

Then, they took a look at the 1930 Ford Replica Roadster.
This guy has a second garage??? Now, looking at the 1937 Plymouth. Ron wondering if anyone is ever going to come back and look at the boat.

Lily slouching and kicking the back of the seat while she waits (I'm telling you, she is going to be our little diva. She has temper tantrums already!).

Congrats on the boat! My husband also wants a boat because he grew up around the water. You diffently will have fun next summer. The boat looks very clean inside!
