Birthday Party!

We finally, FINALLY found the camera cord! I've got a bunch of blog posts to catch up on, so here we go....

I'll start with the girls' birthday party, since of course that's been the highlight of the last month! I truly can't believe they are already 1.

We decided on a Happy Feet Penguin themed party, since they *love* happy feet. My mom out did herself by making a rad penguin cake with icebergs and everything. Sadly, my penguin cupcakes left a little to be desired. It was an "A" for effort, but boy, were they an effort! And only one was eaten all day. Heheh...I guess the black icing turned some people off.
Anyway, it was a great party with our family and close friends. The girls did great, except for right after the cake eating began. There were so many people crowded around taking pictures that poor Lily burst into tears! It was a little too much for her, but a walk outside calmed her down. Abby tried to jam the cake in her face, but alas, the angle of the high chair wouldn't let her!
