12 Month Stats

Since I am totally horrible about updating their baby books, I wanted to update the blog with their stats from the 12 month well-baby appointment. They each got 3 shots and a finger prick. NOT fun times. I thought the shots would make them sleep - planned on it actually, since my friend Laurie and I were planning to drive to the beach right after the appt. The normal 2 hour drive became 4 due to complaints, crying, repeated stops, etc....blah!

Anyhoo, the doctor said the girls are doing just great. They are primarily eating table food now (we throw a little pureed baby food in every once in awhile for convenience or if we are eating crap like pizza or McDonald's) and like to drink milk. We are working on dropping formula and bottles. They haven't had any formula for the last day - yahoo! - but I've resorted to putting some milk in a bottle before bed. They just need that night time bottle, it seems. Oh, well....we'll figure it out. As long as they are not 3 years old walking around with a bottle like Suri Cruise, I'm okay with it taking a little while. :)

And in most important news, the girls started WALKING right around their birthday. Abby took 12 steps on her birthday and Lily was quick to follow. Gulp, here the chasing begins!

I'm going to post both 9 and 12m stats, since I don't think I did the 9 month ones. They are both just about the same size and have stayed that way, with Abby just the littlest bit taller and heavier.
