Trip to Daddy's Work!

I took the girls in to visit Ron at his new-old job at the Maryland Historical Society on my day off this week. The girls were quite a hit! We ordered sandwiches in for lunch because the weather was sooooo rainy.

Lily visiting with Heather. We are one day older than her daughter, Nora! Her over achieving baby can already sit and crawl!! :)

After lunch, we went and looked at the exhibits. We saw an old WWII Jeep and the original Star Spangled Banner (sorry for the poor quality photo - camera phone in a dim room where flash photography wasn't allowed).

The visit was fun and relaxed up until we tried to leave. I ran out to my car in the rain while Ron stayed in the lobby with the girls. I realized that I had left my lights on, the battery was dead AND my key fob couldn't get me into my car. Turns out the key I use to start the car doesn't open the doors - who knew?????? Luckily, roadside assistance saved the day. I took the Jeep home with the girls and Ron was left to deal with our mess. What an adventure!!

Ron just after discovering the dead-battery-no-keys situation (eek)

We waited for Roadside Assistance with King Gambrinus, the Patron Saint of Beer!
